Pet Recall Checker
This free tool searches the FDA's animal & veterinary recall announcements by brand or product name and shows each recall's date, FDA-stated reason, recalling company, and product, with a link to the official FDA record.
Type a brand (like the name on the bag or bottle) or a product name. We report the FDA record exactly as filed. We never label a brand "safe" or "unsafe," that is your and your veterinarian's call.
Educational tool, not veterinary advice. Recall data comes from FDA.gov and may not include every recall or voluntary withdrawal.

Recall information is provided for convenience and may not reflect the most recent announcements. Always confirm current recalls at FDA.gov and with the product manufacturer.
What this checker does and does not cover
This tool searches the FDA's Recalls, Market Withdrawals & Safety Alerts announcements, filtered to the animal & veterinary category. That is real, official FDA data, but it has real limits:
- It is a rolling list, not a full archive. This is FDA's feed of firm recall press releases. Older recalls age off the list over time, so a recall from several years ago may no longer appear here even though it happened.
- No result does not mean "safe." Zero records only means nothing matched here for your search term. It is not a clean bill of health.
- Class shown where FDA provides it. The feed itself has no Class I/II/III rating, so we add it only when a record confidently matches FDA's enforcement dataset or a hand-verified landmark recall. If there is no confident class, we show the recall without one rather than guess. Open the FDA record for full detail.
- We report, we do not rate. Each result is the FDA's own announcement. We do not characterize any brand.
For the authoritative, complete list, always check the FDA directly: FDA Animal & Veterinary Recalls & Withdrawals. If your pet is showing symptoms, call your veterinarian.
How to read results. Each card is a single FDA recall announcement: the recalling company, the product as described, the FDA-stated reason, and the date. "View the FDA record" opens the official FDA announcement. GoCheckMyPet does not add, rank, or editorialize the records, and searching stores no personal information.
