No. A result of no records only means the FDA has nothing on file under that brand name. It is not a statement that the food is safe, and the brand may be recorded under a different name or spelling. Always confirm current recalls at FDA.gov and talk to your veterinarian if your pet is unwell.

What are FDA adverse event reports?

They are voluntary, unverified reports submitted to the FDA's animal and veterinary system. A report does not establish that a product caused harm, and report volume tracks a brand's market share as much as any real risk. We show the count only alongside that context.

What this check does and does not tell you

This tool reads two FDA sources for the brand name you enter: FDA food recall enforcement records and voluntary adverse event reports from the FDA animal and veterinary system. That is real, official data, with real limits:

It reports a record, it does not judge a food. The verdict wording comes straight from the FDA record. We do not add a grade or characterize any brand.
No records found is not "safe." It only means the FDA has nothing on file under that name, or the brand is recorded under a different name or spelling.
Adverse event reports are voluntary and unverified. A report does not establish that a product caused harm, and busy, popular brands collect more reports simply because more people feed them.
The verdict follows the recall record only. Adverse event counts are shown for context and never move the verdict.
