What This Site Is

Go Check My Pet is a free educational platform designed to help pet owners better understand common health concerns, review pet insurance coverage, compare insurance options, and access trusted pet care resources.

Our tools were created because pets often hide signs of illness, and many owners struggle to find clear, unbiased information about both their pet's health and their insurance coverage.

Whether you're completing a Pet Health Check, reviewing your current insurance policy, comparing plans, or exploring our educational articles and care guides, our goal is to provide honest information that helps you better understand your options and determine appropriate next steps.

Where the Information Comes From

• Recalls and food records: U.S. Food and Drug Administration recall notices, the FDA recall feed, openFDA enforcement records and voluntary adverse event reports; pet gear recalls from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Each result links to its record.
• Pet insurance comparisons and guides: each insurer's own published policy wording and terms, with the review date on the page and a source beside each insurer.
• Product picks: scored against published criteria (safety, ingredient quality, veterinary credibility, owner sentiment and value), never by commission.
• Articles: written from the sources cited at the end of each one, such as the AVMA, the AKC, Cornell, the Merck Veterinary Manual, VCA and the FDA.
• The Pet Health Check: your own answers. How what you type is handled is on the Privacy page.
